Once a month, the Women’s Ministry of Cathedral of His Glory come together for praise and worship, followed by a delicious chef prepared meal. Then we dine on the final meal for the evening, the Word of God.
The focus of the teaching for the August meeting was “WORDS.” The scripture reference was “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” (Proverbs 16:24 ESV)
Through life examples and teaching from God’s written Word we were taught and exhorted to watch our choices of words used as we go through our day to day lives. Words have the power to uplift and tear down and so the focus was, to speak words that bless and uplift to our children, our families, our spouses, and each other, as well as ourselves. We were gifted with a card for display and reminder of our Inheritance and Identity in Christ according to the scriptures. There are over 50 scripture references that tell us who we are in Christ. One example reads, “I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession and created to sing His praises.” (1Peter 2:9)
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 p.m. We will meet first in the Sanctuary for Praise and Worship and the move to the Fellowship Hall for dinner and ministry.
